Adding a Biomed Work Request

TheWorxHub allows you to create a Biomed work request or a work order. A work request is generally entered by a staff member and then approved and accepted as a work order by the responsible department. You can enter a Biomed work request by first searching for the asset or location.

How to Add a Biomed Work Request

  1. You can access the Biomed request form in two ways:
    1. From the Dashboard, click on the Requestor tab. On the Add New Request screen, select the Biomed application.
    2. Or, click on the Biomed tab. Click the Add button in the top right corner of the screen and select Work Request from the drop-down menu.

Asset-Based Work Request

  1. Click the Start With Asset link to start the work request by searching for the asset.
  2. Locate the asset using criteria such as the Asset Name/Description, Barcode #, Asset Location, Category, Subcategory, Manufacturer, Model, or Serial #.
  3. Select the asset from the list to link it to the request.
  4. Click the Subscribe to email updates link to receive updated notifications for this request.

 

 

  1. To choose a different asset for the request, click the Search again? link. *Note: Only one asset can be linked to a Biomed work request.
  1. In the Description of issue field, enter a reason for the work that needs to be performed.
  2. Type any additional details and notes in the Details box.
  3. Choose a Source of Work from the pick list.
  4. Enter the name of the Requestor and the Requestor Phone number.
  5. If you would like to notify others about this request, click the Notify Others? link and click in the field that displays to select their name from the available list.
  6. Click the +Add Photo button to attach a document, photo, or other file to this request.
  7. Click Save.

 

Location-Based Work Request

  1. Click the Start With Location link to start the work request by searching for the location.
  2. Click on the Location Picker () to select a location for the work request.
    • If you have access to the Space Management application, click the map pin icon () to select a location from a floor plan drawing. *Note: If you do not currently have this application, please contact your Sales Representative or Client Services for more information.
  3. Click the Subscribe to email updates link to receive updated notifications for this request.
  1. In the Description of issue field, enter a reason for the work that needs to be performed.
  2. Type any additional details and notes in the Details box.
  3. Choose a Source of Work from the pick list.
  4. Enter the name of the Requestor and the Requestor Phone number.
  5. If you would like to notify others about this request, click the Notify Others? link and click in the field that displays to select their name from the available list.
  6. Click the +Add Photo button to attach a document, photo, or other file to this request.
  7. Click Save.
